There are no books of Quran. There are 114 chapters in Quran. God dictated every word of Quran to Prophet Mohammad through Angel Gabriel. Not a single word of Quran was thought or dictated by Prophet to his companions. What ever enemies of Islam say against Quran are nothing but lies.
Prophet prohibited his followers from writing his own statements in his life time for fear of his statements getting mixed with the text of Quran that he was dictating to his scribes as were revealed to him by Angel Gabriel.
His statements or explainations of Quran were compiled by scholars more than 100 year after Prophet died.
The collections of Prophet's sayings are known as 'HADITH''. These are kept separate from Quran. Since human memory is involved in collecting the sayings of Prophet , scholars keep doing research on some statements they feel doubtful to recognize and not to rely upon. Muslims rightly believe Hadith are not world of God but word of Prophet.
