I am wanting to make my chinchilla a Christmas Tree. I know i must sound like a lunatic, but her cage will be the only thing not decorated this Christmas.LOL
Anyways, i have popsicle sticks, a wooden 'base' for the tree, and little wooden 'presents' that i know are all ok for her to nibble on. But i have a huge problem...No way to put it all together. I would imagine glue won't be too good for chinchillas. And i know sisal rope is fine, but that would be almost impossible to attempt. So any ideas on how i can put this together?

well, i would get what ever kind of wood that is not harmful to it. draw the tree shape, star, and gift shapes on it, cut it out with a jig , or small hand saw. then use food coloring to paint the tree, gifts, ornaments, etc on it. no parts, just one big wooden cookie for it.

You can use white glue because it is water based. Don't use a ton of it. If they eat it, it won't do a ton a damage. I use white glue an Popsicle sticks to make my gerbil houses and those get chewed without harm to the gerbils.

use frosting. once i was at a party and they served almost like a ginger-bread house but it wasn't. and they used frosting to connect all the pieces. at first i thought of peanut butter but then i was like......DUH!! they can't eat peanut butter
