Talk to a recruiter, they'll be willing to do whatever it takes for you to join the Marine Corp too. There is currently a push to expand the Corps, so your chances are probably better than in the past.

NO YOU CAN'T, the Marines are a branch of the Navy and the Navy just last year stopped accepting recruits with GEDs. You need a diploma with a creditable institution (an actual High School, not night school)

quickest and most efficient way is to take one semester(15 credits) at your local community college(100 level or higher courses) that will elevate the GED to a Tier One High School Diploma and remove any obstacles the GED presented.

Yes, you can get in with a GED and a good moral history and record. I believe a GED became acceptable some years ago, unless they recently changed the rules! Then again, maybe it was the U.S. Army that accepted a GED! Better get more answers with better sources for exact rules on entrance into the U.S. Marines! Wish you luck!

Yes, a GED is sufficient to get you into any branch of the service, as long as you have no other disqualifying factors.

Thank you for your desire to serve your country!!!! :-)
