He didn't.
We made him.

God (if there is a God, and in whatever form you believe God to be) and human kind both need each other. It is a symbiotic relationship. We all come from nature and nature is God. It's kind of a "chicken and egg" question. Without us humans, no one would tell the story of God and without God there would be no creation and consequently no humankind. This is also sort of like asking, why is water wet? With whatever faith system each of us have we must each decide for ourselves the answer to this question. But the answer is really much less important than the decision to believe in something or to try and recognize some level of reality and try to live well each day.

The short answer to the question “why did God create us?” is “for His pleasure.” Revelation 4:11 says, “Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created.” Colossians 1:16 reiterates the point: “All things were created by Him and for Him.”
Being made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27), human beings have the ability to know God—and therefore love Him, worship Him, serve Him, and fellowship with Him. God did not create human beings because He needed them. As God, He needs nothing. In all eternity past, He felt no loneliness, so He was not looking for a “friend.” He loves us, but this is not the same as needing us. If we had never existed, God would still be God—the Unchanging One (Malachi 3:6).

Because God is Love, and He wanted a family, He created man in His own image and gave him free will, without which they're can be no true love. God put within man a desire to know Him, some follow this desire, some bury it, some ignore it, but all have it.

I beilve that he wanted to challenge us to see if we would always honor and worship only him and to live by his rules, the ten commandments. God is awesome and I don't know why some people have to be so negative about him. The life syles they have is because of the way they chose it. Everyone had an equal chance of how their lives would be and to make it the fullest.

Good question - don't have a great answer - I'll look forward to reading the responses - but as best I can figure - GOD is many things, not the least of which is a CREATOR.

I'm not going to get into an arguement here, but "god" was created back in the day by some old people who wanted guidance and couldn't explain the reason that we are here today. Thanks to modern science we now know, but religion will always be around because people need something to believe in because they can't think for themselves.
God didn't create man - man created god to give them something to believe in.

because their was a time in gods life where he recognized he had the gift of life. and to not waste such a gift god created animals and objects and us. god wants us to learn how to work with each other, love each other and be understanding. to do this we he created speed bumps aka racism etc... but the main reason god created us is because he saw how much love he had ion him that the only way to channel this love was to spread it amoung us

It is written that God created us for his pleasure. He wanted a family to love and for them to love him. He wants to share all that he has (which is considerable). And if you love him you will be obedient to his rules (laws/ commandment). That is where we fell short in our first life . Now He is giving us a second chance at being obedient. Those that will not keep order in God's house will not be there.
