Someone made a random statement and put a question mark behind it. I made a similar opposing statement and asked "what's your question?" and got blocked!

I've been blocked a couple of times on the Politics & Government site & understand small minded pettiness in THAT arena.

I'm new to R & S though and thought pepole here might be a little more open and understanding.

Does this happen a lot on R & S?

Just so I'm clear, I'm not complaining and I'm not hurt, just a little suprised. I guess I shouldn't be.

I came to R&S to ask a question and received a few answers from angst-ridden juveniles, but was overwhelmed with genuine and thoughtful answers from sincere people.

I guess my experience was atipical.

Dragon Dog, It didn't take you long to track down the culprit. Thanks for the chuckle.

All I can tell you is that you need to be careful of what you say here.

When I saw your question, I knew you would get the kind of answers that you have gotten.
I have been on many different sites, and I find that you will get the rude and disrespectfull on all sites. But don't let the answers fool you, there are some people in here that show respect and give good answers. But you will have those who will give you thumbs down or block you simply because they don't agree with what you say. Just give your answers, or question with respect, and honesty, and you should be alright. There are a lot of people in here that have legitimate questions.
Welcome to R&S section. Good luck and God bless.

I guess some people are real scared. Don't worry too much. If God exists then He created this wonderful world and, although it has a lot of evil, there are far more beautiful things in it than bad things. Surely a God that created something as beautiful as this will understand your doubt and the fears of those who would block you. He will Love both you and the prejudiced blockers. Don't worry you are OK.

Pretty much non-stop -- the faces are the same, but we're all constantly having to create new accounts due to a particularly screechy pack of report-monkeys around here...

and NO not most Christians block people. I'm a Christian and I don't unless they are plain rude.

Yes it does. Some here block everyone who dares to disagree.

The cruelness here can get very thick. It can get petty and juvenile.

Yes

Every once in awhile someone has a question that makes you think, but for the most part it is all canned rhetoric.

You thought that Christians would be open minded?

Yes, there are little Morality Police wandering around reporting anything they don't agree with, and Yahoo's policy is to allow ANY complaint to remove any answer, valid or not.

It's just their way to try and silence others' opinions, just like their faith dictates.
