Make sure that you have Airborne Ranger written in the contract and make sure you have plenty of copies.

The other answers are excellent.

Start Swimming, it is better on the body and causes less strain on the knees. Don't worry about cold showers, you may not get any during school and the barracks has warm water. Since you are running you should work up to longer runs. During basic you should do at least one 5 mile run. Both running and swimming will better prepare you. Ranger school is going to be the most mentally demanding thing you have ever done. Physically you are on your way to being there. if you are able you could join JROTC or a reserve unit to get at least an idea of how the Army works.

First, learn how to spell. Your work-out regimen will get you through the first week of Army boot camp, but little more.

Prepare to run 3 miles in 24 minutes. 80+ sit-ups in one minute, and be able to do 100 military push-ups in 90 seconds. Sleep deprivation up to 50 hours in rain and cold weather with the ability to carry on a conversation while being fired upon. Oh yeah, the ability to overcome the fear of jumping out of an aircraft at 1000' at night, locate your position and be prepared to fight immediately, without support. That's just for starters. I hope that begins to answer your question. Good luck.

First I would like to say thank you for your future service to this country, a great website to checkout would be Military.com and take some of the ASVAB practice tests. These will help you out with testing into the right MOS and get a feel for the type of questions they ask. They also have some basic physical requirements.

If that ACL repair is symptomatic or your knee is unstable on exam at MEPS, you won't even qualify for initial enlistment.
