Sweetheart, with your mom being sick that has most likely had an affect on you and now everything seems different for you.

I suggest you speak to a counselor at school about this and other family members too. Reach out to friends who care about you, let them know you need their support at this time.

Let your mom know how you are feeling, that you love her and want her to be well. Open up the communication between you now. She is most likely scared and confused, worried about you too. Be there for her and tell her how you feel when you get scared and stressed.

Take care of yourself. I am sure you feel like crawling into a hole, but that won't help. Be good to yourself now, not beating yourself up. Get help with your studies and do what you can now. Make sure you let your teachers know what is going on with your mom so they will understand the drop in grades and ask for help.

People care, they really do and sometimes when we are stressed, we think things that are not always the truth.

I'm sorry for your difficulties. The friends who abandoned you were not true friends, were they? If they were worth having, they'd stick by you in both good and bad times.

I heard once that it's better to have one really good friend who will stick by you than to have several friends who are not that good. May you find that one soon.

I'm sorry for your mom as well. I hope things work out for her. Right now you need to be there for her, and you need to find a way to stay strong enough so you can be a help to her.

I'm rooting for you. I think you can do it.

As you grow into an adult your hormones change. most teenagers go through a very rough time emotionally (watch Maury sometime). See a therapist. they will be able to guide you to available help resources and medications if needed.
