Childhood was a really happy time, Adolescence was a descent into hell, twenties weren't much better.... but the thirties seem to be very promising (32 now). Like a return to innocence. I am feeling heaps better since turning 30, even if the last two years have been no less insane than any other year.

Yes and it usually gets even better with more age. You learn not to sweat the small stuff, that we aren't able to control everything, and that we don't care as much about what other people think.
We know more about who we are, where we're headed and what makes us feel good about ourselves.

Life is full of ups and downs, that's normal. Mine was not the same as yours. My childhood was not a "happy time" much of the time, adolescence was not great either. My best time was when I was 38, going through a divorce from a nutcase and finding myself.

It was hell in many respects with all the stress and financial change, but in the long run, I changed the course of my life into doing what I was set on this earth to do. My choices were great ones and I will never regret that period in my life.

Learn to cope better and life won't be so bad. That's one of the keys. The other is to make good choices. Think carefully how what you do today will affect you and others. Do much to help others that have less and be the best you that you can be. Life will be great then!
