I really don't believe that there is anything that can solve the worlds problems except God. It's just that those who supposedly don't care to believe in God keep talking about it. They are here every day!
If non-belief was sincere, most of the people on R&S wouldn't give this site more than a glimpse. So I guess I am saying that they would get bored, having nothing better to do. At least us people who believe in god are keeping some of these God haters off the streets for a while, lol.

Well, one of your problems is that you agree with tuberoot.
Second, the assertation would be how does belief in a god solve any problems? You would first have to prove there is a positive effect in belief, which is different than the default position of non-belief.

Neither belief nor non belief actually solves problems. People who don't believe in God and still care about the world tend to do more important things than praying for those in need and not doing anything.

-Research the organizations that are currently helping impoverished areas around the world. Who do you think is doing the work? feeding the hungry? helping the needy? In the USA, Christians(middle and low income) are the groups known to contribute the most to charities. Christian organizations are the first ones to arrive to disaster areas. Churches are currently supporting entire villages in Central, South America and in Africa.
Who do you think instills this desire in our hearts to help those in need who are so desperate for food, shelter, medicine...GOD!
-Many people claim that it is because of God and religion that we've had wars. But the reality is that if people had done God's will, there would only be peace, joy, harmony.

There is yet another reason to look to God—not human science—to solve man’s problems.
SCIENCE CANNOT CHANGE PEOPLE—GOD CAN
At the root of many of man’s problems is man himself. Science cannot really change people—their motives. As a case in point, consider the crime problem. Experts may devise special equipment to try to prevent the spread of crime, but they cannot root out wrong desire in people who, if clever enough, simply find ways to baffle any new gadget. But God made the human heart. Is he not in the best position to know who must, if necessary, be removed from human society in order for others to live without molestation?
So it is for this reason that He can positively assure us that when this present system of things is gone and His new one arrives it will not be plagued by crime: “They will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain.”—Isa. 11:9.

it eliminates all atrocities commited in the name of religion. It eliminates the impedance of science especially in issues like stem cell research, evolution of species etc, it frees minds to make our world better through science, it eliminates conflicts like the plaestinian conflicts that only exist because 2 religions think that god is a real estate broker. Need i say more?
Most of all, if someone said something as mindless as that he saw 2 goats speaking english and they refuse to show any proof, and seriously ask you to believe by faith, wouldn't you say they were crazy? Yes. If someone says he saw 2 goats speaking english and invokes religion, the conversation ends, we are supposed to believe that on faith and no evidence. That is the greatest danger of religion. It halts discourse and understanding and i forgot to add that without religion, no one would be looking forward gleefully to the destruction of our world

Opinions of god won't save starving African children. They need food, not Jesus. Religion has caused the situation to worsen though, look at the middle east and you'll see what I mean. Don't claim that atheism caused the Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot genocides either because logic (the foundation of atheism) doesn't validate mass killings. Also, one look at those guys' childhood will show you that atheism had nothing to do with the mass killings these people caused.

Without belief in G*D, we are left to our own resources.
Humanists can make a case for altruism, but lack motivation.
Belief in G*D means a shared concern for all humanity.
We know that we have some accountablity to higher authority.

look at all the holy wars caused by religion over the years. Muslems hate Jews and Christians. Irish Catholics hate Irish Protestants...even in central America where the Mayans would sacrafice people to their gods...get rid of god then you get rid of the wars in god's name
