no because it is ok for such an all good all powerful being to allow evil to happen (become an accomplice) just to teach his priests a lesson.
That is how sick the religious think

Kimbo: I thought god's will will always be done. Is it then his will that those kids be molested?
A famous guy once said:
Is god able to prevent evil but unwilling, then he is evil;
or unable to prevent evil and willing, then he is not all powerful;
or able and willing, then why is there evil;
or unable and unwilling, then why call him god

It substitute into "the way" they dealt with the region. They coated the priority up. here in Canada the clergymen that dedicated sexual abuse the place sent to the 1st countries Reserves and that they persevered to abuse little ones there. the component is they have been sent there because of the fact it substitute into concept it did not count what befell to the natives. Now on each and every occasion somebody talks to natives here or perhaps mentions they are Christian, the natives do not elect to talk or have something to do with any Christian. It gave the kind of undesirable call to Christians throughout. it remains an rather comfortable concern in many Canada. different Christians denominations produce different procedures of coping with it, however the only thank you to handle it in accordance to the Bible is to checklist the abuse to government whilst there's a confession, and to disassociate any unrepentant perpetrator. There are additionally many warnings which could get carry of as quickly as a individual has dedicated this, so as that the congregation may be risk-free.

The Catholic Church is a Church of sinners and much suffering. It is also a Church of saints and scholars. The story of the Catholic Church is a divine and human story. The Church is divine in its Founder, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only founder of a religion who claimed to be God, and proved that claim by rising from the dead. The Catholic Church is also human - afflicted with all the frailties of human nature - the sin and suffering, but also the saintliness and scholarship. When the Church was failing God, God raised up prophets or reformers. A reformer is one who changes people's hearts, not revealed doctrine. There have been thousands of great reformers in the Catholic Church, like St. Francis of Assisi, St. Clare, St. Benedict, St. Teresa of Avila, etc. The Catholic Church and the Bible have not, in 2000 years, changed any of the many truths revealed by God; among these truths:
a.that Holy Communion is really and truly the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ,
b.devotion to Mary,
c.confession,
d.praying for the dead (Purgatory),
e.the Pope is the visible head of the Church on earth. (Christ of course, is the invisible head of the Church.)

every walk of life had problems with this, not just the clergy. It is the new theology that tells people they cannot do without sex---even the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph had relations according to this crap. Sex is everything today so what if somebody wants to initiate a youngster into this at an early age huh? It is inevitable, they need it and can't live without it huh? The monster is now whining about what it created!

No, He couldn't. Not unless he revoked mankind's free will, thereby reducing human beings to mere animal status. People sin because they are free to do so. As for sexual abuse of children, the number of cases involving clergy is so small compared to the total number of cases involving teachers (by far the single largest group of child molestors), counselors, youth leaders, scout leaders, coaches, medical personel, grandparents, uncles, older brothers, parents, etc. that such cases hardly need to me mentioned. However, all these other people, just like clergy, have free will and are fully responsible for their own actions.

You just opened up a can of worms, didn't you? I can hear it now from all of the non-Catholics who want to pretend that it only happened in the Catholic church.

"The Catholic church isn't his tent."

I didn't mean that YOU were aiming that at the Catholics (and I'm not Catholic)...but whenever someone asks something like this...it brings out the finger pointers.

Whatever. There are many cases of molestation in many different churches....all hidden and covered up just like the Catholic clergy leadership did.

Could God have prevented it? I'm sure He could have, but He gave us free will, and Earth isn't heaven. Bad things happen on Earth. If they didn't...it would BE heaven.

I dont think its a matter of where the almighty was during. Its a matter of where the almighty will be at the end.

Yes it could have been stopped, so could murders. Nobody really knows why its not stopped. But if it is stopped, then how do we learn? There is no punishment if there isnt a crime.

Sorry best answer I have.

God has put the Law of retribution\compensation firmly in place.You really think that those who have committed heinous crimes have escaped justice? You can forget about an anthropomorphic God but a Supreme Intelligence exist always.So where was God when evil was being committed? He was omnipresent!!!!!!

God gives humans free will. He does not intervene in human life. Every person has the right to decide their own fate. Why do you single out the clergy, have there not been just as many laymen child abusers? Clergy are humans too, and as such they are imperfect and liable to sin, just as any other person.

Asking where God is or was at a certain time is assuming he is restricted by time space and matter (he's creations). The msg the Bible contains is man brought sin into the world and Jesus or and God is the answer. "Thou shalt not commit adultery" is one of Gods commandments. You can join in breaking God's laws and you have already according to the Bibles concept of man's now sin nature (though your sins may not be as bad as some, at least in the worlds eyes), or you can recognize the truth contained inside of you, and the truth contained in the Bible.
