I absolutely believe in the power of prayer. I have witnessed how prayer brought together my family in good times and in times that were very difficult. The belief in something else being bigger than this world is very comforting. technology is great - but we are all limited in some way - and technology is only as good as we are able to make it.

Prayer is a powerful means of asking the world for whatever you want or need. The more prayers the quicker the result because your will is stronger, but it is you who make the reality. I would suggest watching this!

ONLY SINCERE PRAYERS WITH FAITH IN GOD ARE EFFECTIVE. Memorized or read prayers are hardly heard.
Of course Pray!!!! When will you start praying when you are in your deathbed and nervous if you will still exist after death and think where will you go ?or right here right now while you are still healthy and breathing?
Do you want to be an instant religious person when you are about to die only? and How do you think will God feel towards you when you spent your whole life ignoring Him and only praying when it is His time to take back the life that He lend you?

Even in the world of sticks, rocks and fire, prayer was powerless, except as a form of psychodrama which might get the person off their butt to make their wishes come true.

Medicine defeats prayer in every single double-blind study.
In fact, placebo is proven more effective than prayer. They did a bunch of studies, and people who were prayed for did worse than people who were taking placebo and medicine. Presumably because they feared the worst if people were praying for them.

More so than ever today. Prayer is needed more today than ever before, because sin has increased drastically.

Yes, definitely, as long as I pray the right way--ie listening and seeking instead of asking for things.
