Star Trek doesn't provide ALL the answers about life. I do have to say that a lot of the episodes have good moral lessons that we should apply to life.

I know that TNG had a lot because that's what Gene Rodenberry focused on when he was living. Of course now it's more action and grafics then moral lessons, but there are some if you really pay attention.

I'm sure if people lived by what Star Trek goes through, it would be a better place. Not perfect but better than it is now.
