Eighth grade sucks -- mostly because of this issue. I had the same problem: I really liked a girl, but I had nobody to talk to but friends who didn't understand, appreciate or respect my feelings. And it's tough to hang around your friends when all you can do is think about this other person, but not be able to tell any of them about what's consuming your emotions.
Does the guy know yet? In my case, the girl eventually found out, but, of course, the feeling wasn't mutual so I was still stuck thinking about her around my immature "friends" who just wanted to tease me.
Do you think you'll be able to keep quiet until one of your friends seems to have a similar problem? That would reduce the chance of teasing if you are dealing with the same issue.
Could you write a diary/journal at home? Sometimes, writing about stuff can make you feel much better afterward (it gets rid of some of the anxiety). Maybe you could write him letters in your journal (that you'll never give him). This technique is recommended for grieving people who never got to say goodbye to a loved one before they died. It might help relieve some of your anguish here, AND it would help you organize your thoughts just in case you do start talking more to this guy someday.
Good luck!

I have the same issue... and I'm the same age too! XD
But yahz... just go with the flow. If you're right with each other, things should just click.
And about your friends:
Seriously tell them that you like him. Don't joke around or beat around the bush. Show them you're completely and utterly serious about this. They should take it like you mean it and don't do a-c... well maybe a little on the last one.
If your friends DO tell him, it'll be for the best. Do you really want to stay in the bleachers or go out and play? (Famous quote from my BFF) If he likes you back, that's great. If he doesn't... maybe he's not the one for you.
Remember. There are a lotta fish in the sea. He's not going to be the only one. C: Good luck.

if they make fun of you maybe theyre not really the best people to hang around with
real friends will have yer back no matter what and theyll support all yer descisions. unless its a bad one. but if its a bad descision they'll try and lead you to a better choice. pick a freidn or two that you know you trust and that would never do anything to hurt you.

you know, its time to-become the you, you should be, quit worrying about what your friends will say.you need to become confident and gain more self confidence.it's your life, not theirs?if you like this guy, tell him, leave your "so called"friends out of this relationship.plus if their all gonna act like idiots, then their not really your friends. stop worrying about how they will act and enjoy your life, and don't let the aliens get you this summer?read my blog on teenagers on my yahoo360, then you'll understand what I'm saying, good luck and god bless

Sounds familiar. Junior High is awful. None of my friends know who I like, and I'm in high school. So, why tell them if they're going to be that immature?

Alright well, then do not tell your friends. Or tell some other person you trust. OR even tel your friends another secret and if they can keep that, then tell them about the guy if you wantt. :)

im guessing your question is what should i do about this...
soo if that is it then uh you'll just have to deal with it. i know what you mean though. just flirt with him and see if he's feeln your vibe and if he is then wait til he asks you out and if he doesnt then you ask him but do it like in private or something.
good luck girrl <333
