I've already lost a lot of weight and then i started plateuing. i want to start losing weight again. and although i've started switching up my excersie routines, i'm still having a hard time.
i know what not to eat. but i dont know what to eat.
btw, i'm a vegetarian. but dont worry, there are a lot of meat sub.'s out there that have the same amount of protein as real meat. i know a high protein diet helps you lose weight.
anyhow, can someone help me please?

For quic weight loss, I prefer an adaptation of the "atkins" diet

Basically high fat, low carb, high protein.

Also remember... If you start plateauing never skip eating!!! That simply makes you gain more weight.

Think of your body as a fire. Food is equivalent to wood you are placing on the fire. If you put too much wood on the fire, you will have a tough time "burning" calories (burning the wood) but if you dont put any on at all, than it is even more hard to burn calories and lose weight.

KEEP YOUR HEAD UP! Weight loss takes time, so good luck. =]

If you're at a plateau...the best thing to do is changing your exercise routines (which you've already done) and eating more food without adding too many calories per day. Switch up your vegetables....for example have a lot of salad (watch the dressing!), cucumbers, celeri, peppers, asparagus, spinach, etc. but cut down on carrots and tomatoes (which tend to be sweeter). Watch for the fruits, just because they're healthy doesn't mean that you should eat 100 grapes in one sitting, there's still sugar in there. Finally, take 2 tablespoons of olive oil (no other oil) to cook your meat or alone per day. Don't forget to drink about 2 litres of water daily. If that fails and you go 2 weeks again without losing weight, go to McDonalds and get yourself a burger with fries. Sometimes that's exactly what your body needs to jumpstart your metabolism again. God bless.

Don't eat a lot of white breads and grains like regular pasta and rice.Op for brown rice or wheat pasta.
And instead of three big meals eat little snacks of fruit and veggies throughout the day then have dinner at home.

high protein will turn to fat if you dont burn it.too much fruit will turn to fat too.but then again its not really the type of food you eat,but your calorie intake.limit yourself to 2500 calories a day and you'll lose 15 to 20 lbs a month.just eat healthy so you dont get sick.I did this for about 5 months along with mild exercise and lost 50 lbs.!

2 meals per day

eating oatmeal, whole wheat bread, slice of cheese per meal and veggie meat made from soya (tastes just great), veggies, fish (it has omega-6),eggs(moderate intake)

you can alternate oatmeal to wheat bread and snack on unprocessed and unsalted peanuts like those you can buy in Healthy Options store such as the unflavored almonds. Banana is good for snacking too since you'll feel full and at the same time it suppresses hunger.

you should know foods and drinks to avoid such as:
-softdrinks
-oily foods such as those fried finger foods
-fastfoods
-rice and white breads
-junk foods (i.e. cheetos--see what it caused Britney Spears)

get enough:
-sleep
-drink lots of water
-exercise
-discipline yourself

good luck..

Look for anything lowfat and less than 10% dv.

Also, even though youve switched up your routine make sure its challenging enough for you. You might be exercising too easily for your body and thats why youre not seeing any more changes. Make it a little more hard, get your heart racing more and youll see changes for sure.
