my mom needs to keep her mouth CLOSED.?

Question

so i do bad in school.
i fail sometimes.
at the end of the year i pass.

but when i fail courses like 20 (i raised my first term 20 to an 80, i was proud hehe) my mom beats me than she tells my dad, sister, calls my cousins to tell them, then my cousins parents (my aunts/uncles) and then goes to my dad side of the family and tell them. how do i tell her to keep her mouth shut?

i asked her why she was doing it than she says 'BECAUSE YOU'RE DOING BAD AT SCHOOL AND EVERYONE DESERVES TO KNOW THIS. NOW YOUR COUSINS DONT WANNA PLAY WITH YOU, AUNTS/UNCLES DONT WANNA SPEAK TO YOU BECAUSE YOU'RE DOING BAD IN SCHOOL' .. SHE IS GETTING ON MY NERVES.

First off, I'm sorry that you receive correction in this manner. I have two sons, and would not correct them as your mom is doing. Yet, she is your mother and i don't believe you should tell her anything other than: "I'm sorry mom, I will try to improve my grades". To shut her up, you can get those grade up. It sounds like you're an intelligent person, so it's shouldn't be too hard. You're mom knows that you are a better than just a 'passing' student whose grades are probably average or just below. And when you improve your grades, I'm sure she will be on the phone with everyone to share how proud she is. (and if she doesn't , then I would speak out to her).

Why not work at a steady pace rather then trying to cram it all in at the end. You start off every semester with a 100 right?? If you sit back and think about it, wouldn't it be easier for YOU to just maintain that grade rather then hear your mom yell at you and talk down to you because you were lazy or thinking that hangin' with your friends was more important, then all of a sudden that 100 turns into a 20 and you have to work even harder?? I don't know, makes sense to me and the yelling would probably cease. Rather then negativity you'd be praised and we ALL like to be told what a good job we're doing.

She just wants the best for you. And someday, you'll look back and wish you didn't make it so hard on yourself. School isn't everyones thing, but you need to get through it so you have choices later on in life. You should be doing it for yourself. Not for anyone else.

as long as you get them up at the end of the year.. its ok but she shousltn tell them your business. grades dont make your personality to have ppl wanting to hang out with you or not..
you can do waht you want. i mean you should try to get your grades up if you want a nice future.. she just cares but to be honest.. the way she is going about it.. wont help i doubt.
