I have been reading both sides and found out some interesting things. I have not made up my minds exactly. However I believe the world is much older than 6000 years old. I have not found any evidence of evolution except for micro evolution. Although I think there is alot to read before someone can make a definitive decision.

A time has come when I completely sided with evolution.
It failed because of the spiritual evidence.
Another has come when I completely sided with creation.
It failed because of the scientific evidence.
And finally it came to me when I meditated on it for days:
Evolution is God's method of creation. Evolution tests your faith. Evolution is real, it's just that man is an exception.
Science never has to oppose religion.
They reinforce each other if you find the right angle to look from.
Watch this documentary if you have a question about my spiritual evidence:

I've never switched sides. In fact, at one time in the distant past, I would have been both, seeing "creation" as having played out in the way science understands. I eventually let the creation part die its natural death, but I understand why many people hold both ideas to be true.
To me, any anti-evolution creationist is just cheating themselves. If their faith is so tenuous as to REQUIRE flat-out false claims about the world, they're headed for a nasty crisis of faith at some point.

I still believe in evolution. As far as exactly where all the wee pieces parts came from, I dont know. But well I'm not Christian so God didnt do it for me. I think my favorite creation story is the old Egyptian one- a God was.. "enjoying" himself (by himself) and out squirted the universe! Don't know if its true, but it makes me laugh.

Both are possible at the same time.
Now while evolution/creation is possible, evolution/creationism isn't possible, and I doubt anyone who didn't lose faith in God would change sides. It's impossible to ignore reality once you know it.

I used to believe that there was a huge conflict between science and the Bible. After a thorough investigation including writing a book on the subject I found that Genesis 1 and science are in perfect harmony. It's the "Creationists" not the Christians who are off base.

Nope, was raised in a science loving family (even though my parents were Christian). I was taught about the scientific method from a young age and all of my questions were answered intelligently.
No 'god dunnit' stuff.
