Is is possible to webcam using AIM with an iMAC user to a Windows XP user?

I am currently using the latest verison of AIM 6.5 and I have a updated windows XP. My friend is using a iMAC and her AIM is 5.9. We cannont web cam each other; the invite always 'times out' I have tried with windows AIM 5.9 as well as older verisons of windows AIM but have come to no luck. Is it even possible to web cam any iMAC user with windows? Is there any other program/patch/tweak to make this cross over? -thanks

I haven't tested it myself, but the rumor is this works:

Have your friend install Adium on her iMac.

I can tell you that Skype Video works like a charm, that's why I haven't tested Adium.

Google for them both, they're free.
