I'm looking into building a gatlin gun kit for the farm for golf cart mount for varmint hunting. Has anyone had any experience actually using one of these modified 10/22 gatlin gun kits and really putting it through the paces, or are they just for light use and show-off appeal?

The kits can be found here:

Had and sold many.
They are great for exactly what you are looking for.
The Ruger 10-22 is about the best .22lr on the market and it will shoot for ever. The gatling gun kit is really well built. Easy to install and easy to set. You will have years of fun with it.
There are a few small things you have to do to set it but the instructions will walk you through all that.
You are in for a blast.

had one, loved it, miss it, wish I still had it!! Seriously, it was a lot of fun to shoot, you just pointed and hosed the target down.
They get dirty prety quick, as all .22 lrs do, keep it cleaned up and lubed and it works really well, once dirty, forget it.
