I don't think that at all. In fact I do see him as a very enlightened person, I think his teachings were on the same path as Jesus when you break it down to living a good life and doing good things. I've only started to learn about his teachings, but I'd never consider him confused or a liar.

The Buddha was a man, Neither he or his followers have ever claimed otherwise. It is worth noting that an acceptance of Buddhism does not require a rejection of ones religion. A Buddhist is respectful of all religions.Buddhism is not dogmatic and does not preach sin. It does not teach that there is only one way. It merely offers a path to inner enlightenment and wisdom. The Buddha was a human being, not a divinity. In fact as a Buddhist/Christian, there are many teachings of the Christ that are the same as the Buddhas,

A Buddha is a person who has developed all positive qualities and eliminated all negative qualities. Buddha was an "ordinary" human like you and me before he became enlightened. Enlightenment is compared to awakening, as a person suddenly experiences a complete transformation of body and mind from sleeping to waking up. One could say that a Buddha represents the very peak of evolution, as he/she is omniscient or all-knowing....

Jesus taught the same principles, but people like to separate everything for some reason.if you learn about both sides you'll understand it more.so,if you ask this question, you wanna get answers and the only way to find them(while not becoming an ignoramus)is to seek them yourself.

I think you should try to do what Buddha taught.Read up on him and read the Bible to FIND THE LESSONS IN IT.you'll be amazed at what you'll learn.

Buiddha was a wise man, he taught that lusting after "stuff" created misery, but Moses said that when he gave the law " thou shalt not covet" Buddha would be a good spiritual leader if he said anything spiritual but buddhism is basically about how to live in the here and now rather than giving any advice on how to get into heaven and be with God.

The Christian monk Thomas Merton would have got a long way in his discussions with Buddhists if he had applied any of those appellations to them, wouldn't he?

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Buddha said it first and Jesus repeated the phrase because he was preaching the traditional Spiritual message that had been out there all along.

Get back to the Original Kingdom Gospel about the "Treasure Hid in a Field," rather than the Pauline gospel that came along after Jesus was gone.

If, for some strange obscure reason, I had to give up or leave my pagan faith, then I would be Bhuddist......christians not only lie but they are the most confused religion I have witnessed....and I want no part of them.

Buddha is a state of being, not a singular person.
