Its actually a win-win situation. Very simple = You allow Jesus to be Lord of your life, and in turn He will provide for you in this life and give you eternal life beyond death.

So what is holding you back?

Oh ok, Brenda morphed again to Tricia, with a few editorials deleting some four letter words from your answer. I've got a five letter word for you: J-E-S-U-S.

I think in a way it can be scary to some, it's stepping out of the drivers seat of your life, losing control and letting God take charge. For people who have controlled their own life for a long period of time, this indeed could be scary for them. It's a process for many. The first step is inviting him into your life, this is the planting of the seed of God into your heart, don't expect you're going to be a completely different person right away. The seed needs food and water to change and grow(the word of God). The more you set your eyes and ears on the word of God, the more your seed will grow and you start to change as a person from the inside out. The key is not to give up. Don't feel like a failure when you mess up. God knows what's in your heart and that yuck needs to come out of you in order to let more of God in. This is a bit scary but at the same time wonderful. It's so comforting for me to know that I'm not in control and everything (everything) happens for a reason.

Jesus' dying achieved the redemption of guy from dying to existence, Jesus did this by potential of exhibiting this is devil it quite is the liar not Jehovah. The proving of Jehovah's Sovereignty grew to become into the inducement at the back of Jesus surrendering his existence, Jesus died to glorify the only and in basic terms authentic God Jehovah, his heavenly Father.

Sure. Give up your life to something that is a myth, let it take over, have no responsibility, have no respect for anyone or anything else, pray only your prayers so every little desire is fulfilled, of course - know that you will be damned for an eternity if you don't believe in it/he/she and then know at the same time that this god loves you and gives you free will.

Makes so much sense, Yes, Very simple indeed. The key word is 'SIMPLE', or perhaps simpleton might be better.

It's not scary, I was just so made that I cannot believe. I am an honest person. I would not lie to myself, or to others and fake belief in something simply for the sake of 'just in case.' It's not who I am. And from everything I've read, the odds of the Judeo-Christian God being real is virtually nonexistent.

It doesn't seem scary, it seems to be false.

What holds me back is lack of evidence. Since there is no evidence in favor of your claim, I treat it like every other unsupported claim. I ignore it.

If you can show a valid, reproducible test that Jesus really is divine and a god I will take you seriously.

You look very beautiful in your crown!

Just wait until the day you arrive in heaven Jesus would give some of us crowns.

It aways feels a little scary at first when you try something new, but with Jesus Christ it's very warm comforting, and happy as his light shines through our countenances:)

the good old Pascals wager, huh?
There are many flaws with it...the main one is, if I choose to believe in Jesus (like "choice" about belief is even possible) what if it turns out that Mohammed was correct? Wouldn't Allah be even more pissed than if I'd just remained a non-believer about all gods?

Uhm...nice tiara

The fact that Jesus is a random dead guy. Someone give me the slightest evidence that he is divine, and I'll reconsider.

Already there.
Funny some of your posts say he is a fraud or otherwise.
The scary thing for them, is to put their pride down.
God is very much alive!
All those Davinci code idiots trying to prove this or that.
The reason is they have something to hide, their ignorance, which is being revealed all the more.

I will never bow down to any deity. Any being who tries to get me to bow down to it will fail. I don't do as I am told and I don't believe in fairytales and imaginary men in the sky.
