windows movie maker comes up with this error when i try and import an avi: The file C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\My Documents\My Videos\WIZ\TITLE01.avi cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.
where do i go to download this codec? i need specificS! thanks =]

The problem is... the error message didn't say what codec you actually need.
You need to use a utility like GSpot (no, I wasn't kidding) to figure out what codec that file actually needs, then download and install it from free-codecs.com
