well that may have sounded like an odd question but heres some details to clear things up. ok well my cat loves to sleep in my room at night and sometimes i acually let her! well whenever i do, she always wakes up really early in the morning before anyone is up and sits there and puts her paw under the door like shes trying to open my door or something. shell just sit there for ever just rattling on my door. its kind of an old door so its really loud and it wakes everyone up. how can i teach my cat just to meow or something for me to let her out?

well like i said my door is old and if i try to leave it open just a crack it will end up all the way open! thats just what it does! but idk im kinda picky about how or where i sleep.
-it has to be dead silent
-it has to be pitch dark
-the blinds and door have to be shut

well i cant really get a cat door put in because my mom doesnt even want me letting her in my room at night! lol thats why i need to know how to show her that opening the door herself is bad.

Unless you are up for staying up all night, sitting on the other side of the closed door and reprimanding your cat every time she wants to come in, you are pretty much asking too much of your cat.

You need to either get used to her sleeping with you/coming in your room or hope that she'll find someone else to love. It's instinct for cats to bug their owners when they're hungry. There isn't one person here who can tell you that their cat doesn't wake them up for breakfast every morning.

One of my kittens will wait politely for me to wake up, however his brother sits in front of my face, 2 inches away, purring loudly. If I open my eyes and close them again, I get a paw to the face. It's just easier to get up, feed them, and go back to bed.

crack the door open before you fall asleep, or ask your parents if you can get a cat door installed. that way she'll be able to run in and out of your room at night, without killing your privacy

Let her sleep out of your room, make her a bed outside your door. I've had cats that never stopped this. When they want out they are relentless! Good Luck!

its just not going to happen.
my cat used to do the same because she has a really quiet meow. i have 3 cats and they all copy each other if they see one do it the others join in. as soon as id let them in theyd go to sleep and be quiet and cute.
another cat of mine would climb on the outside dining table to get ontop of the fence so he could get onto the roof and walk all the way round and come and meow on my windowsill. and he has a big meow so you couldnt not let him in coz he wouldnt shut up. as he got older he stopped doing it and would only pull the same stunt whenever he caught a meal and wanted to share.
remember that they love you and want to spend time with you. if you spend time with your kitty and then put him to bed in a routine way every night he should get into a habit. if not remind kitty whose bigger. haha good luck

i'm sorry, but that question made me laugh. the idea of 'train' , 'cat' and 'politely' all in the same sentence seems like an impossible combination. cats are notoriously well-known for doing exactly what you have mentioned. i would be surprised if you could train her out of it, i'm sure it's possible, but the best i would do would be to either let her in, or put her in another room at night and close the door to that room (preferably one far enuf from your bedroom that you can't hear her complaining and scratching). sorry, but what you've described is just regular cat behavior. maybe if you sprayed her with water a few times....?
