It all comes down to the lack of pirates.

I think it's all Judas Priest's fault. That's who caused all the suicides when I was in high school. Note to batgirl--In God We Trust was put on U.S. currency in 1957 as a result of an act passed in 1955 or 1956. It appeared on some coins in 1864 and on all coins after 1873. So, it's not been hundreds of years. It's been over 50 on the currency and 134 on the coins. Do your research.

That happened a long time ago when students were
basicly good Christians. Actually, all the bad stuff started
happening after Maddalen Murray O'Hare went to the
highest court and had God removed from schools and
textbooks; and then later others have followed up with wanting God removed from our coins, from our public places, from stores (Christmas), from being mentioned anyplace but your own home and your own church. When you educate
without religion, you create clever devils. That's what has
happened. School shootings happen by those who are not
Christians because that is against Christian beliefs to shoot
and/or kill anyone.

Not true. That phrase was put on the money many decades ago. But in the 1960's the Supreme Court ruled prayer and bible study out of our schools. Radical changes for the worse began to happen at that time. SAT scores dropped. Teen pregnancy rates rose higher. Student drop out rates climbed higher. School violence increased. This is well documented in David Barton's book "America - To Pray or not to Pray. and other publications.

Has anyone noticed that these school shootings happened mostly after prayer was taken out of schools?

Has anyone noticed that these school shootings happened mostly after the 1960's or so, when there were mainly 2 parent families?

Has anyone noticed that "In God We Trust" was on money hundreds of years before these school shootings ?

Does anyone else think that "In God We Trust" doesn't have a darn thing to do with school shootings?

Thanks, corros....I will look up that lawsuit. I appreciate your bringing it to my attention in such a kind way.

No, it's lack of PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT.
It doesn't matter what your kids listen to, what they eat, what they wear....that's all part of normal teenage self expression- trying on different ideas as they grow into adulthood. There is no conspiracy.
At the end of the day what matters is...do you talk to your kids and know what is going on in their lives. The warning signs were there. Heck, the Columbine kids even had that crap in their rooms. But the parents missed it.
All because they were making crap excuses for themselves.

excuse me...murder was alive and well long before
"in God we trust" was put on american currency....

one could make a better case that AFTER God and
prayer were taken out of schools...the killing started...

ALL school shootings happened after Congress did that.

I bet every one of those kids had money on them at the time of the shooting.

It's easy to call someone an atheist after they're dead.

God never was in schools. If he was, I wouldn't have learned a thing.

Batgirl, please look up 'Abington vs. Schempp' and you'll see it was a 16 year old Protestant Christian who filed the suit because he saw how the mandatory prayers were bothering his Catholic and Jewish friends.

it's interesting that no one connects the fact that guns are so much more readily available now to the shootings.

guns + raging hormones = trouble.

just my thoughts.
