With the BMI (Body mass index) you should be aiming for a score between 18.5 & 25. I have a score of 27.6 at the moment so am classed as a little overweight. You do not want to go any lower than 18.5, lower than this is when you immune system is not in peak performance. Males should be around 15% body fat & Females between 20-25%. Looking at the tables anywhere between 140 & 180 pounds is considered a healthy weight for a 6 foot person.
The average weight for a male that size (particularly in the Western Society) is higher than that. We are in the midst of an obesity epidemic, however portion control, a healthy diet and regular exercise are still the best way to control weight and improve fitness & health. Good luck with attaining your fitness & health goals.

I'm Laurie and I've lost 60 pounds. I went from a size 14 to a size 6.Since I've lost the weight I feel great. I have lots of energy. I'm willing to do different things. I just love going out, and playing with the kids, and having fun. It's changed everything. My whole life has changed.

150 lbs. If you aren't 150 lbs, hit the gym, eat more at meals and more often, get involved with martial arts ( gains muscle rather effectively ) If you have high metabolism then I suggest Whey Protein to bulk up a bit, but remember to stay toned. Good luck!
