I stopped eating red meat about 9 months ago, since then I've noticed that I've gained approximately 15 pounds. I primarily eat chicken but will eat turkey & pork (RARELY).

Could eating only chicken make me gain weight? Should I be eating red meat?

No, chicken will not make you gain weight in comparison to red meat. It is a very lean meat however be sure to eat only boneless, skinless chicken. Chicken skin is high in fat and calories. (yes, its ok to just remove the skin once it is cooked if at a restaurant or if someone else cooks for you).
It sounds like you might not be getting proper nutrition which has caused your body to hold on to any excess fat it can get a hold of. This is quite common in new vegetarians or semi-vegetarians.
Invest in a multivitamin and drink 8 glasses of water a day for at least a month to see results. If you continue to gain weight you may need to see a nutritionist who can give you a more detailed report about your dietary needs.

Red meat is fine in any diet; but it follows the rule in every day living...moderation.
Chicken is a very good choice. It's lean and very low in fat & calories; however be sure to remove the skin. Leaving the skin on will add calories (a lot), plus it's not good for you either. As for you gaining weight; perhaps you might take a closer look at what you're eating besides the chicken. Starches???? Butters??...Creams?? What about desserts??? Eating chicken did not cause you to gain weight. Other habits did.

Yes. White meat chicken now has the same, if not more fat than red meat. Genetically fatter chickens are selected to produce fatter chicks. The protein to fat ratio most people recite is not based on current studies. Find the date of your research sources.

Be a kid once again! When eating out, order a new child’s sandwich, pizza or cheese pizza. Then you can have the treats you're keen on, while reducing your portions and cutting your calorie intake.
