1. I am graduating college on May 10th. When should I send out the announcements and invitations?

2. I heard announcements are basically a way to get money from family and friends, is this true?

3. Do I have to invite everyone I sent announcements to, to the actual ceremony?

To me, an invitation is being invited to the actual ceremony. That should be sent out a month or so ahead of time.

An announcement is just that---announcing the fact that you graduated. I would think that would be sent out after the actual graduation. I would send these only to family and close friends who didn't attend the graduation.

Don't send one to people who aren't close to you. No one likes getting announcements from someone they knew in the 3rd grade! LOL

1-- about a month in advance
2-- yes, they will send gift and/or money
3-- I don't think so..but I am not sure. Most people won't go anyway but send as many as you can so you can have some Money to get your life started. GOOD for you Graduating. Congradulations!! You should be very proud of yourself.
