Restating the question, Is there a way to have an HDMI signal rout into my computer and have my computer record it? Would there be audio with it? Is there any eisier way to do it?

yes, but to record it would take a LOT of storage space, because HD video is not small. The next thing is a TV tuner card. I have not seen one with HDMI input yet. Try another form of input. I personally have a WinTV card with A/V input. As far as I am concerned, it works great for the purpose. They always have audio with them, and they are meant to watch tv on the computer hat you have them installed on.
