I ussualey forget that death could be anytime. BUt sometimes on those sleepless nights I think that one day I'll be 6 ft under.
i think th ething that scares me most about death and th egrave is not just th epunishment. The fact that i have to face it alone in a dark grave. Sometime si cry because I hate being alone. But sometimes i think that Im going to go to jannah but then i dont really know. How bout if i go to hell.
i mean everyone has plans for th efuture. But they dont know wat will happen.
The question is wat can i do to stop being scared of death? i know its painful to die and leave all ur loved ones because even the prophet said truley death brings agony when he died. And he was th eRASUL!! SO how can we get over th efeeling of this world and think more of the here after? How can we be prepared for death whenever it comes. How can we be joyous of dieing and meeting our Lord?
jazakallah
Hope I see u all in jannah!!!

I remember death every day, and this is a good thing. We should not get caught up in this life, but do for our life as if we will live for ever and do for our after life as if we will dies tomorrow.

I recall a hadith which says: those who are relaxed in this lifetime will be dissapointed in the next and those who are not relaxed in this lifetime, will be pleased in the next, so I consider your worry of death a good thing.

I remember death often. Sometimes we get so caught up in worldly matters that we forget one day we will leave everything behind. We don't know how long we have left, every day lived is another day closer to death. The thing that scares me the most is the questioning in the grave. I have read descriptions of the two angels having scary appearances, which people will be afraid by. I don't wanna get scared by their appearances and give them any wrong answers!! Also, the punishment in the grave is scary to think about.
None of us know where we will end up - in Heaven or Hell. All we can do is pray to Allah to have mercy upon us and grant us peace in our graves InshaAllah.

Yes I think of death I wonder when how and hope it won't be with a painfull illness. I'm not that religious to fall back on religious teachings, so then I just think about nature. Everything dies therefore how can it be bad, or scarey. When we squish an ant it didn't have time to ponder life and death. Think of being buried as going back into the earth, circle of life so to speak. Or my lastly I think of it as an adventure do we know that heaven/hell is real, that their really is a God or that we get to see dead loved ones? Maybe I will rot in hell for these comments but I really doubt it.

I think of death also. I recently lost my father who was very knowledgeable about Islam. I remember that the older he became the more spiritual he was about Islam, and he had a strong passion about learning as much as he could before he left this earth. He was very ill, but he looked at his illness as a blessing from Allah and did not complain about his hardship. Allah is merciful, and this is said alot, but when you are the age of my father and told that you only have 3 months to live you take the time to look back on all the wonderful blessings you received even when you did not know they blessings and the precious time we are given and take for granted and could have done better. So at that point you have faith that Allah knew you better than you knew yourself and all the good will account for something, that one day perhaps you will see his face and he will smile at you, and all the mistakes he will perhaps forgive. I try to be better and feel guilty when i make mistakes because I know one day I will have to face Allah for them. It is good to be afraid, because it shows that you have a conscience. Some people don't even have that. All you can do is the best that you can and seek refuge with Allah, none of us are perfect. I was told that it is good to fear death, then you will perhaps try to perfect your religion.

i feel like we dotn think about it as much as we should, even though we say we do. Sometimes i'll have days where i would just imagine waking up from death on the Day and wishing i could go back and do oooooone more good deed or standing in front of God and being embarassed in front of everyone i know because of something i might have done. i have also known people who have died at young age, and it just shows the possiblility that one day you're alive and the next day, youre just gone.

there's nothing to fear, when you are dead you know nothing, you feel nothing, how is it you're going to feel "alone"?
just live your life doing that which makes you happy and having no regrets. death is the price of living, we will all be dead one day, what the heck matters who leaves first and who after. I tell you, death is the only thing sure in life, but would you rather not have lived at all?

Beware ! surely this world is a place from which protection cannot be sought except while one is in it. The action which is performed only for this world cannot secure salvation. People are tested in it through calamities. Those who have taken worldly pleasures here will be taken out from them (by death) and will be questioned about them. And whatever (good actions) they have achieved for the other world, they will get them there and stay in them. For the intelligent this world is like the shade - one moment it is spread out and extended but soon it shrinks and contracts.

God knows hidden matters and is aware of inner feelings. He encompasses everything. He has control over everything and power over everything. Everyone of you should do whatever he has to do during his days of life before the approach of death, in his leisure before his occupation, and during the breathing of his breath before it is overtaken by suffocation, should provide for himself and his journey and should collect provision from his place of halt for his place of stay.

So remember Allah, O' people, about what He has asked you in His Book to take care of, and about His rights that He has entrusted to you. Verily, Allah has not created you in vain nor left you unbridled nor left you alone in ignorance and gloom. He has defined what you should leave behind. taught you your acts, ordained your death, sent down to you. "the Book (Qur'an) explaining everything" (Qur'an, 16:89) and made His Prophet live among you for a long time till He completed for him and for you the message sent through the Qur'an namely the religion liked by Him, and clarified through him His good acts and evil acts, His prohibitions and His commands.

He placed before you His arguments and exhausted his excuses upon you. He put forth to you His promises and warned you of severe retribution. You should therefore make full atonement during your remaining days and let yourselves practice endurance in these days. These days are fewer as against the many days during which you have shown obliviousness and heedlessness towards admonition. Do not allow time to yourselves because it will put you on the path of wrong-doers and do not be easy-going because this will push you towards sinfulness.

O' creatures of God! the best adviser for himself is he who is the most obedient to Allah, and the most deceiving for himself is he who is the most disobedient to Allah. Deceived is he who deceived his own self. Enviable is he whose Faith is safe. Fortunate is he who takes lesson from others, while unfortunate is he who fell victim to his desires. You should know that even the smallest hypocrisy is like believing in more than one God, and keeping company of people who follow their desires is the key to obliviousness from religion, and is the seat of Satan.

Be on your guard against falsehood because it is contrary to Faith. A truthful person is on the height of salvation and dignity, while the liar is on the edge of ignominy and degradation. Do not be jealous because jealousy eats away Faith just as fire eats away dried wood. Do not bear malice because, it is a scraper (of virtues). And know that desires make wit forgetful and make memory oblivious. You should falsify desire because it is a deception, and he who has desires is in deceit.
