We MISperceive as real what we have been conditioned to believe is true. It is this lack of perceptual clarity that is the dreamscape of everyday life. Any kind of creative power is dependent upon waking in the now. Only then is accurate perception and knowledge of ANYTHING possible.

Hmmmm, quite an interesting story. All that IS is ever present. Whether we see or how much we see is determined by our level of awareness. As we develop our skills of perception, we 'see' more of what is.
Most refuse to believe what they can't see thus they limit their vision because minds will not interpret an idea it has ruled an impossibility.
If the mind is open enough to consider that more may lie outside our current realm of perception, that openness allows new perceptions to enter into awareness.
Cheers :-)

One need only read the multitude of answers in this forum to see that people "see what they believe." rather than "believe what they see." The mind is a strong component of a human being, in fact it runs the show, so to speak, in those who are in its mad grip. The "beliefs" of the mind control the mindset and reveal what is "seen" from that limitation. These beliefs are conditioned in humankind--by family, religion, society, culture. We only know (see) what we have been spoonfed from birth. Once the mind is freed from these prior conditionings, it is open to "see" beyond these imposed limitations. I am Sirius

People see and believe whatever they choose, but that doesn't necessarily make it true or false. It just means they've chosen to believe. Some put their faith in science, some put their faith in philosophy and some put their faith in religion.
All those who truly seek truth will eventually find themselves on the same path. Unfortunately most people are only searching for what they want to believe.

Truth is, sometimes I Don't believe what I Do see, like the crazy headlines about parents putting their children into microwaves! On the other hand, Thanks to Jesus, I do see hope. And especially thanks to the Holy Spirit of God, Who enables me to see the 'revelation' of God's Kingdom Coming!

I do not agree with the first part of the statement; I walk by faith, not by sight.
Not sure about the second half of it.

If it was a dream, do you believe you seen it? Or was it just a thought?
