More adults would attend too.

If priests talked to us some more rather than preached it would be significantly more relevant too. We want to know what they think about everyday life too, not just the interpretations of the past writings.

It doesn't need to be fun but it should be inclusive, spoken in a language every simpleton could understand. We want to understand especially about the written word but explain it.

Some of them do, but they are few and far between and often leave a Church by the time you have found him.

And I am still not passed the bias towards women in the Church, when they catch up with this century I will catch up with attending more too.

Not for long... I mean there are always going to be things that look more fun at the moment or easier, like sleeping in or watching tv. Belief is the only thing that will drive them to going to church.

If the occasional fun activity peaks interest and helps youth and young adults want to learn about the doctrines, that might help. Friends at church also help, but this can be done on days other than Sunday, like a Thursday night group activity

When my girlfriends daughter was eight she made her first communion and I had to take her to church for pre communion brainwashing. She was bored senseless by it all. On the way out I asked her if she believed in god, she looked at me as if I was an idiot, "Don't be daft" she said, "it's just something adults have made up to scare kids like the bogeyman." I hugged her. She goes to a catholic school, is good at R.E. but she still doesn't believe it. I showed her what some of the christians write on here, she thinks they're mad or very lonely. Not bad for a ten year old

From India: I think it is all in upbringing. Take a kid to Church from an early age. Get used to worship. Let them know to hum at lease a few hymns.......It stands in good stead later on. Churches in India sometimes do over flow. Not because the priest is a superb preacher or any thing. I think the act of worship is also taught together with being ingrained. God bless.

I use to go to a church that was pretty fun on youth nights, then i went to a regular service, and they scared the ______ out of me.
I went to the front b/c all my friends did, i didn't know why they were going so i just followed, then we all lined up facing the front of the church, and from right to left, the preacher would ask a question then put his hands on them and pray, they in turn would get the holy ghost and fall to the ground. when he got to me and asked me what was bothering me, i thought of something real fast and he prayed and nudged me and i didn't fall. It was so embarrassing, i was the only one out of about 20 people that was not on the ground speaking in tongues and shaking. I just stood there and put my head down.

No I dislike the idea of someone else telling me what I can read myself, if I wanted their take on it I would ask for it. Church in the traditional sense would be better as a discussion forum not unlike yahoo answers where people voice their views about topics and discuss them.

It truely shows the validity of the church that it would have to resort to gimics to draw the crowds.

Modern kids are more enlightened.
