I have been told there is a way to put a jumper wire between two connections to flash the codes but I need to know which connections to jumper, and exactly where they are located. Thanks in advance for any help.

even if you can flash the codes on the dash, they will flash by numbers ( how many times it flashes) and you will a book to know what does that code means. so it is easier to go with OBD II

i dont think you can "flash the codes" by counting the blinking lights. the AIRBAG system will work that way - but i dont think the check engine light will (OBDII protocol). harbor freight (tools) has a code reader for 39.99 that will tell you exactly what the code is. you can order it online.

Just go to AutoZone and have it scanned. It's free.
