they do have buckles you can attatch to the fridge but ive found that they loose their stick within a months time. Ive found that if my daughters have their own shelf in the refridgerator then they leave the outher food alone......well sometimes. Just make sure that you put some snacks there for them and mabey fill a sippy cup with milk or juice. They really like to feel independant at this age.

I don't know of anything that can keep a 21/2 year old out of the fridge. The Safety 1st buckle and gates (at kitchen entrance) don't work. By around 2 years old most kids can open these. I'm speaking from experience..I have a 3 year old.

When my son was 2 he took everything out of the fridge and dumped it on my carpet, ketchup, OJ, soda, you name it. There may be some child prevention safety thing you can google.

Any Toys r us, etc. will have child safety latches. The one for a fridge is basically a Velcro strap that you place higher than (s)he can reach.

yep--there are refridgerator locks...they are like a buckle that you stick on the fridge...Safety 1st is the maker--you can get it at walmart.

here is a link of all different kinds...Good luck and a heads up, put it on at night after your child has gone to bed, so that it has time to set and it doesnt get pulled off right away.
we had to put one on our fridge about 6 months ago.

Yes! The First Years makes a silicone strap with an anchor on one side, and a latch at the other side. They have sticky pads that remove easily once you are done with it. I bought mine at Walmart, but you can also find them at Ace Hardware, Lowe's Improvement, etc. Info here!

(this one is different from the one I used, but same company)

yep there is , i believe you can find it with all the other safety things in the baby section (with those things that keep the cabinets closed and the socket covers n such)
Dont be surprised if it doesnt work though! My cousin got one for her son and he STILL got in!
Good luck!

Yes - it's a plastic and rubber catch that attaches to your fridge...you can get one wherever baby-proofing supplies are sold (ie WalMart, Target, ToysRUs, etc). If your kid is like mine are, don't be surprised if it doesn't take him or her long to figure it out, though...:)
