Two ways to do fades.

Within Movie Maker right click the audio track and from the popup you can select fade in/out

2nd way
Outside of movie maker edit the track using a sound eding program and fade the audio and save a copy of the audio for import to Movie maker. Add the edited audio with the built in fade to your movie. this technique also allows you to do a complex mixing of naration and background sound levels. The down side to this is that you must have your video production done as and changes to video lenghts will throw off the timing of your edited audio

Right-click on that audio track on the timeline, and choose Fade Out.

Or click on the track in the timeline, go to Clip on the menu, select Audio>Fade Out.
