Straight down but keep them wispy and not really thick to cover your forehead. Wispy-thin and just slightly very slightly 'V'd" across the bottom. As they grow out and get long, Use a round brush and blowdry under, adding fullness. Spritz with hairspray then lightly scrunch. Have fun.

lol i have a big forehead too. people used to tease me, but i can see myself no other way. i have side-sweeping bangs, and people always say they are very flattering to my face shape, which is a heart. however, i've always dreamed of the straight-across bangs, and they would look very good as well....but my cowlick won't allow it lol. :}

side bangs are always better. Straight down always looks pretentious.

i have a huge forehead too, and i have side bangs.
in my opinion, it looks bad when all of the bangs are to one side. both sides for me. it works for me i guess.

sweeping side bangs then add layors!
