they love you and they dont want to see anything bad to happen to you. jhave you done something to make them not turst you.. how long are and what do you want to do that they wont let you do. parents just want to keep there kids young forever.

Parenting is HARD! Parent's that hold on tightly are afraid of letting go out of FEAR! Hard part is the tighter you hold on the more the kids want to run. Don't be a runner. Help your parents NOT be afraid to let you have some freedom. I bet if you SHOW them how responsible you are on a consistent basis they will give you more freedom. Hang around with GOOD people. Study hard and take care of the little things like cleaning up after yourself, helping around the house without being asked. And be consistent. Trust is hard to gain and easy to lose. Don't be too hard on them though. If they didn't love you they would not care what you did. I would be too loved than not loved enough.

Because they LOVE you to death and don't want anything bad to happen to you. Even though they know how bad the world is already, but if they can hold on to you until you go off to college it gives them some sense of stability?
Mother to a 6 year old boy, and a girl arriving March 2008. I am already over protective with my son, with my daughter it could get worse.

That's what parents do they protect you , If you weren't so damn stupid you would see that its in your best interest.As soon as you get into something you cant get out of its "MOMMY HELP ME" Grow up!

hon, if you have issues with your parents, and feel you are being kept as a shut in, let your parents know how you feel... and don't forget to ask what YOU can do to make your relationship with them better and for them to trust you to do more outside of home.
that's the best you can do.

because she love you very much, tell her you hang out with good friends who doesn't get you into trouble. let her to get to know your friends, tell her you try your best to pick your friend wisely. everytime you go out give her a ring say I already here because she wants you to be safe. once you give her confident to trust you, she will let you go anytime you want because she know you can take care of yourself. don't be angry with her, you might have best friends after all when you have a problem your family will step in to help you. do not betray her trust after you earn it, it will take a long road to get her trust again. be safe and good luck!

OMG!!!!!!!! So it was YOU who got stuck with the mother who gives a d*mn!!!!!!! Maybe next life you can get the one who lays on the couch watching her programs and tells you that she doesn't care where you go, who you are with or what you do as long as you don't BOTHER her.
