A rotary engine has no strokes at all, and thus qualifies as a different type engine. It has a rotor that spins, and even though it has intake and exhaust cycles, it has no pistons, and thus no strokes. Deisel engines are four stroke engines, thus, are you asking for differently fueled engines, or different types of engines?
