It's only offensive if it's being said in vain.

One of the ten commandments is not to use the Lord's name in vain-since Jesus is considered the son of God by Christains-this is breaking a commandment.
Using a name of anything that one should respect-whether person or thing-is disrespectful anyway.

For me, it's offensive to use the sacred name of Jesus Christ in a way that is not worshipful or respectful.

Christians believe that Jesus is God, and one of their commandments is that you "shall not take the name of your Lord God in vain", or, one shouldn't use God's name frivolously. So using it as an expletive is offensive to them.
