I have a ps2, with about 15 games. the ps3 40 gb is not backwards compatible. I love MLB the show, which IS NOT on XBOX 360. do they even have a good baseball game on xbox 360? anyway, I could spring for the ps3 80gb, but then I have very little cash left to buy any new games. I believe its dropping to 499 before christmas, and with my 20% discount at walmart, it would be around 400 even. little help?

you are better off getting a ps3 because...

- ps3 has a built-in blu-ray player

-ps3 supports 1.3 HDMI which has rich colors and xbox supports 1.2 HDMI

- ps3 has much more and better exclusives, most of them cant go to xbox 360 because it cant handle that many data(DVD- 8.5gb, blu-ray 50gb)

- because of the blu-ray's huge space, ps3 will have WAY better graphics than 360

- online is free for ps3 not like 360

- ps3 will have over 300 games released by this spring

- you can browse the internet on ps3, no such thing for xbox 360

- when developers get used to the system, the graphics will be WAY better than 360. should take them a year to get used to it

- developers stated that they will start using ps3 as the lead platform and port ps3 games to xbox

- playstation home is coming out this spring, its a virtual community where you can hang out with friends and customize your own apartment which xbox doesnt have(FREE)

- ps3 is a true HD console. xbox 360 upscale games to 1080p and ps3 DISPLAY games up to 1080p

- built in Wi-Fi

- xbox 360: 33% hardware failure
ps3: .2% hardware failure(see the decimal? less than 1%!)

- ps3 has better back-comp except the 40gb

- rumble returns in spring 2008

- you can upgrade your harddrive without voiding warranties with any 2.5 HDD, which xbox cant because you have to buy a xbox HDD
(they actually have the step by step on how to upgrade it on playstation.com)

those are the ones that i know right off my mind but there are much more reason than this

Now I want you to do me a favor, list all the reasons why xbox is better than ps3. I PROMISE you that nobody will get at least 5 reasons

Prices as of today:
ps3- 80gb: $499 with motorstorm
40gb: $399 with spiderman 3 blu-ray
xbox 360(premium)- $349
(elite)- $449
if you want the accessories that ps3 comes with, that would add up to over 700 dollars, so that means ps3 is actually cheaper

I think that you should get the 80GB PS3. Also, the 80GB PS3's price has already dropped to $499. The 80GB PS3's price dropped about a month ago to $499.

The 80GB PS3 comes with one free game: Motorstorm. Motorstorm is a awesome offroad racing game with online play, and it's a PS3 exclusive, so it's not on the Xbox 360.

Motorstorm should last you a few weeks and by then, you will have saved up enough money to buy a couple of new PS3 games.

Do not get pressured into 360, you will regret it later on. Now clearly the 360 has the PS3 beat as a game console, but only cuz the two main things people look for in a console: games, and online the 360 dominates. But with built in wifi, free online, better graphics capabilities, blueray for the same price as a premium, I think the PS3 has it there. And not to mention how unreliable 360's are, your better off going with a machine built for the future!

ps. Little Sexy is a little stupid, there is 40gb, 80gb and discontinued 60gb(some still left) & 20gb

Go for the Xbox 360. It has more than enough games to make up for the lack of baseball titles. The PS3 has hardly any play worthy games out currently and companies keep delaying the release of all the games that people actually want to play on it. So if you want instant gratification, get the Xbox 360.

first off there is no 40 gig ps3 it is either 30 gig 60 gig or the new 80 gig. The 60 and 80 have better features than the 30 gig. But in your case it doesn't matter because the only one wal*mart sells right now is the 60 gig. It is good and playstations are better than xboxes. The only thing is that good about xbox is halo 3
