A great thing to use is brands produced by the supermarket itself, they always come cheep, this way you can buy what ever you like. A good dish is curry, as you can buy large jars of toping for around £3 and rice for around £2 providing it is home makes or cheep brands
(also try shopping centres like lidls and aldi as they are veyr cheep indeed)
Or you can buy Chips for just 2 pr 3 pounds and chicken nuggets and beens (or other things like peas) as this all comes very cheep.
A few random cheep dishes are:
-Chips, beens and nuggets/ beef burgers
- Pasta
- Large mushrooms with mashed potatoe onto served with chips
- Fish , chips & peas or beens

Hope i helped.

P.s you will be suprised how big a meal you can make out of whats lien around the house (could be a pic n mix sort of thing ranging from chicken to salad or chips and suaces.)

umm. my specialty feeding company. Get a big enough slow cooker. Ingredients.

10-15 chicken thighs with bone in remove the skin optional
med-lg white onion
1sm jalapeno pepper
1 can of chicken broth
salt/ pepper
poultry seasoning
ground coriander
nutmeg a dash
3tsp curry if using pepper then use mild
curry
a dash of cumin

Add all this to crock pot and cook on high about 4-6 hours or until meat falls off bone or on low for 8-10 hrs. adjust seasonings as you see fit.I never measure unless i bake therefore that is why i have no measurements. Your house will be smelling something good.

Then cook some jasmine rice according to package directions.

Buy some broccoli and baby carrots. About one hour before chicken is ready add your veggies ready when veggies are firk tender.
Serve over rice along side with a dinner roll and you have yourself a feast. get creative with chicken. you can't go wrong. good luck. If you like spicy use spicy curry and no jalapeno, or vis versa.

How about a pan or two of chicken enchiladas? Buy a roasted chicken from your supermarket deli, a white onion, a package of corn tortillas (count on at least 10-15 per 9x13 pan), two cans of enchilada sauce per pan and at least two cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese per pan. I like the mild green chili enchilada sauce best with chicken and use the red sauce with seasoned ground beef. Debone the chicken and dice the onion.

Heat one can of sauce in a skillet until warm. Dip in a tortilla until soft but not so soft that the tortilla tears or begins to fall apart. Lay in glass 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle on chicken, onion and shredded cheese. Roll into a cigar shape. Continue until pan is full. Don't feel that you need to overstuff the enchiladas. Sprinkle any remaining onion and cheese over the top and pour on the remaining sauce. Don't be surprised if you use a full can of sauce just rolling the enchiladas. I often go through two. If you like "juicier" enchiladas, use a third can and pour over all. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes until heated through. Serve with a can of refried beans to which you've added a little salt, a little pepper and a sprinkle of garlic powder, along with about 1/4 cup of diced fresh cilantro. Can also serve a salad alongside. Yummy and filling!

Take out? Or from the pantry?

Take out - Fried Chicken and prepare something at home to go with it. Just about any side dish will go with it.

From the pantry - Try a pantry soup... just add can veggies, some meat beef or chicken, broth and seasoning. Simmer and serve with crackers.
