Does anyone think the prices of PS3 will come down soon, maybe by black friday or the holidays?

Don't listen to the other people. It may seem like a ridiculous price but it's because of the blu-ray. Blue-ray actually makes the whole PS3. Thanks to blu-ray, the PS3 can have large amounts of data for games.(Like around 50GB!) If you buy a blu-ray player, to get a good one, it'll cost $1000. But the PS3 can do the same!

Not sure about when they will have another price drop because if they keep dropping prices, they wouldn't make money for the PS3! They already had a $100 price drop! I mean would you keep dropping prices on something you made even if it makes you broke just to keep all the people happy!?

So it's most likely it won't have another price drop for a while.

No, the PS3's price will not be dropping again before the holidays. Sony dropped the price on the 80GB PS3 about a month ago to $499 and Sony just introduced a cheaper 40GB PS3 just last week for $399. The PS3's price is cheap enough. I think that Sony may drop the price of the PS3 again next Holiday season, but I really couldn't see Sony making another price cut until next holiday season at least.

I doubt it. They just lowered the prices not to long ago. (about 2 weeks ago I think)

Check Wired Magazine for more info, I know they just did an article on it. You should be able to find it online.

I sure hope so. That is a ridiculous price. I would think your best bet to get one at a lower price would be on Black Friday. They haven't discounted them yet but that would be your best bet to check them out on Black Friday.

I dunno. They JUST lowered them like a week ago, so I think it would be stupid to do it again. Then again the stores themselves could lower the prices so... But if If you're gonna buy then do it now, don't bother waiting.
