The Suez canal is in Egypt. Between 1967 and 1982 it was more or less the border between Israel and Egypt, though, so perhaps that is why you are confused. Eilat is in Israel, and that is fed through the straits of Aqaba. Perhaps that is what you meant?

Suez is governed by the International Maritime Law, not by the Egyptian home laws. Egypt can not "close the Suez" because it will mean the Act of War, after which a country whose interests were harmed will have the right to attack Egypt, exactly like it happened in 1967 when Egypt closed the Straights of Tiran for Israel. The American carriers do not hang in the Mediterranian just for the sake of showing to American Marines and military pilots, how beautiful it is.

No, it's part of Egypt. As there was a war in 1973 between Egypt and Israel about Sinai and Egypt won the war. Peace now is spread around.

No it is part of Egypt and always has been - between the Six-Day War and the Camp David Peace Accords it was occupied by Israel.
