Hi, I've been working out for the past two months and now, I've been having wrist pain. The pain exist in both my hands in my wrist. Whenever I lift something such as groceries, my wrist starts to give me a sharp pain. I've been laying off the weight lifting for a while, but no relief has came yet and it's starting to annoy the hell out of me now. Any suggestions of what the possible problem can be, or suggestions? If more information is needed, I'll supply.

just about everyone I have met including me has always had wrist problems after lifting weights for a couple months so its normal. The next time you workout wear a wrist strap (can be purchased at sporting goods store) thats made to keep your wrist stiffer and in place during workout. Only try to ice the area for 20 min. ,if the area is swollen.

Could be Carpel Tunnel Syndrome... Ussually accompanied by a numbness in the small finger and half of the next? That would definately be CTS. Wear a brace, and try gettin chiropractic care for it. MD's want to do surgery but sometimes a chiropractor can fix it with no surgery. Worth trying before they start cutting!

Sounds like a repetitive strain, like tendinitis in the elbow, and I was able to relieve the pain with glucosamine and yucca, two herbal remedies. This was after chiropractic treatments and Advil didn't help at all!
