what should i expect at a alcohol evaluation?

first dui and i need to be evaluated, just wondering what to expect

You'll fill out a survey / test that will ask a lot of related questions regarding your drinking and/or drug use. Most of the questions will be repetitive, so use common sense and try to answer as consistently as possible throughout.

Be careful about how you answer any questions about anger and/or stress that may be included... if you answer those "wrong", you could be assigned to stress / anger management classes!

You will probably be forced to submit to some sort of outpatient treatment, or at the VERY least an alcohol educational program. You will be taking a test (SASI, I think) with lots of stupid questions.
Outpatient treatments are usually 6 months. Expect to deflate your wallet. If you need to do this before you get your license back, you'll just have to bend over and take it. I went 10 years without it because I didn't want "the man" to win, and in the end I had to pay. Bottom line. The assessment place will have direct ties with DMV, so if you go in to reinstate your license, they'll tell you tough noodles.
On the other hand, you may luck out and just do the education class (mine was 8 hours), which may be actually 3 days, depending on the state. you'll have to pay everybody and file appropriate paperwork ON YOUR OWN. The DUI place won't do the work for you. KEEP COPIES. Cover your own ***. Don't volunteer info, but don't lie either. You'll be caught. Stay the course because in the end, you're the one who's affected. If you're not in compliance, you may get a warrant.
In all, it 's a big pain in the ***. Very costly. Good luck!

they are going to try to help you figure out why you would endanger hundreds of total strangers lives by driving drunk.
they will try to help you understand what u have done.
I drink, I've driven while drinking many times. I am so thankful I've never hurt anyone. once it hits u what a psychopath behavior it is, u will be stunned.
it's like carrying a loaded, ****** gun around crowds of jostling people, with ur finger on the trigger.

you will be asked alot of questions thy will rate you on a series of things and figure if you are an alcoholic using alcohol irresponsibly or many other options thy have like 6 categories than it is out patient or a class to teach you how to drink be honest and you will be fine
