I know Christians have the "Bible Belt" through the south and midwest, but there isn't an "Atheist Belt". So here is the real question, Do Christians need a Bible Belt to keep their rants up?

The reason there's no 'atheist belt' is that atheists are just a far smaller social group than christians. In the United States, christians are the vast majority and atheists are the minority, while in the world as a whole both of them are minorities (with atheists as the smaller minority).

Person who does not believe in God. I'm answering this question as you sought to know the meaning of cliffnote's version. It's a phrase which indicates the shorter version of a long story. For example, you ask a person a question, he says, "It's a long story". Then you say, "Give me the Cliffnote's version" meaning that you want the person to tell you without all the details. The t in my Verstion is a spelling error, which I then felt added a personal touch and it stuck. I initially fancied myself as giving only to the point answers...which I obviously don't now.

I believe the Atheist Belt is somewhere to the right of Orion's Belt?

Good one. The Bible Belt is called that because of its location in our country and how that looks on a map. Liberal US is split between the two coasts. And there are isolated liberal urban areas scattered throughout.

Since I've lived in America and had a taste of American conservative culture, and America's comparative prudishness in general, I think the term Bible Belt needs more defining: in America, it's more like a Bible Chastity Belt.

Shouldn't it be The God Delusion Belt, or The Origin of Species Belt?

do they need their bible belt to keep their rants up? no, they would manage to rant naked, or perhaps show the world a nice pair of boxer shorts with "Jesus loves you" embroidered on the behind.
