Hello

Ive never been on a tilt-train before.. Not sure whats good about them compareing to the brisbane city trains.

I need to go to bundaberg from brisbane city

I need your help.

How much is it for a 1 pensioner adult to get on board ?
Is there different classes of areas in the train such as fist class either it is your own bedroom and toilet and stuff ?

Or is it just like a passanagers seat and thats about it and nothing no tv no nothing?

How about them giving meals is that provided?
Remember im going to bundaberg in queensland ONE way ticket

Might not be nessiserly to have all this if i new it would be just 3 hours on board ?

Just i persoanly might not wish to be bored in the train for so long without eating or drinking or even if i need to go to the toilet or sleep... but then again i might not wish to sleep next to a stranger who might be seating next to me,

Give me as much info in your options and whats good about.
thank you

best regards
lynda

UPDATE NOTE: I must travel this month.

Im a dsb pensioner yes i can walk just need to get on the trian.

Each year centelink sends me a new pension card plus 4 queensland rail tickets.. recently over the years these 4 tickets looks empty with nothing writen on it.. I wonder why.. Ive never used them.

So using these tickets which is like 5.00 to get on board will not be good
Plus ive jsut discovered that the tilt-train has
economic and looks teribly unconfortable for 4 hours journy and the business class or how ever it may be call has a small tv infront of you and relax.. But then again you will be paying extra i think..
I never been on this i dont no how the system works i normaly go on a plane where they ask me the number of the seat.

Is the train going to be the same number seat?

Ok here goes

1. The Rockhampton and Bundaberg tilt trains depart brisbane to bundy every day twice a day with the exception of saturday. It departs at 11am and 5pm arriving at 3.30pm and 9.25pm respectively. This lis much like an airline inside with monitors that play a movie on the journey space intermitently through the carriage and in seat head phone jacks with "radio" channels. Business class is the same interior but with more legroom and less people in the carriage.

2. the sunlander departs tue, thur and sunday. tue and sun @ 8.55am and arrives at 3.45pm. Thur departs at 12.55pm and arrives at 7pm. (no on board in seat entertainment provided)

3. The Cairns Tilt train departs brisbane mon, wed and fri at 6.25pm and arrives at bundy at 11.05pm (BUSINESS CLASS SEATING ONLY!) This one has individual in seat screens for the on board entertainment and in seat jacks for the on board "radio" channels

How about FREE. (if you have a pension card)
Haven't been on the tilt or the sunlander... but know you are allowed free travel. The four free trips runs from Dec to Jan, so you only have 8 weeks left to get your free 4 trips in before the new 'year' rolls over. Great isn't it. You only have to pay a booking fee.
