I'm definitely attracted to the brains and personality of my date. I like his e-mails, texts, and phone calls. I enjoy spending time with him. But I don't get that physical urge for him that I've had for others. I obviously find him attractive enough to bother, but at what point can I figure out if I will ever enjoy a physical relationship with him, or if I have just made a new friend?

Well, let's see. From what I can tell, there is always a chance that one day you could wake up and realize you ARE physically attracted to him.
For some women, lust happens later on in a relationship. That's the way it is for me. I met this guy, he was awesome, always made me laugh, I loved a lot about him. He had certain quirks that just made me melt. I wasn't all that lustful. Not even a little.
A couple of months ago, I start really seeing him as someone I'd REALLY like to climb into bed with.
It was weird. But not all together unpleasant.
So, for some people it just takes time. For you? I don't know. If you don't feel attracted to him in 6 months. I think it would be safe to say that you may never find him physically appetizing.
Oh well, good luck!

I always feel physical attraction first, so generally if I don't feel it in the beginning, we're friends.

Not always true.......
