300 a day is a death sentence for a month. Your body could shut down...for sure you'll end up in the hospital. 1000 minimum...

If you eat only 300 calories a day, the only thing you'll be able to fit into is a hospital gown. Don't do it...no matter how much weight you might lose, its not worth giving yourself an eating disorder. Find some healthy ways to lose weight. Eat 1,200 calories a day and exercise a few times a week.

Honey, you're already UNDER weight!!!

Seriously...9 stone is equivalent to 126 pounds. If you're as tall as 5'6", then you're just BARELY at a healthy weight.

Please, and I mean this very, very seriously, please see a psychiatrist as soon as possible. If you truly feel that you need to lose more weight, then I truly am concerned that you are already in the grip of anorexia.

And, for the record, the other answerers are right. 300 calories a day is not enough for even a child to live on, and this reduced intake will probably make your body hold on even tighter to the small amount of fats that you have. You're actually likely to gain weight doing this, and at the same time, your internal organs will start to fail. Please, really, see a professional.

You most likely wont lose weight eating like that. You are going to shock your body and your body is going to think you are starving yourself, and will fight ya and add on more weight.
If you are serious about losing, eat no more than 1500 calories a day and no less than 1200. get 30 minutes of exercise 3 days a week, and you will lose that weight in no time! Not sure how many stones a pound is...so I can't help ya out that much!

Well, you`ll lose a lot of weight. Probably at least 1-2lbs a day. How likely are you to keep it up, though? Most people could only keep it up for a few days, and would be prone to bingeing to compensate on what they`ve missed out on those days, so in the long-term it`d cause weight gain. If you do keep it up long term, you`re looking at being sectioned under the mental health act and admitted to a Psych ward for treatment of an eating disorder.

300 calories per day is ludicrous. 300 calories per meal is still low, but much more reasonable. Focus instead on what you're eating. A breakfast sandwich from a fast food place and an egg white omelette may have the same 600 calories, but the omelette has much less fat and salt.

(PS: Evan's advice could kill you if you take it. There are no such thing as "good" calories. Calories are a set unit of energy, you can't have good calories any more than you can have good kilometers.)

First of all dont go under 800 per day! Very-very unhealthy!
You can loose appr. 4kg with 800/day.
A reduction in calories can lower metabolic activity by more that 50%, but any return to normal calorific intake will be accompanied by an increase of weight. The more you try to reduce your calorie intake below what is normal, the faster you will put on weight when you come off your diet.

you bmi (body mass index) is only 20, if its over 25 that's classed as being overweight so your weight to height ratio is fine. on 300 calories a day your body will go into survival mode storing all the food you eat so you will end up putting on weight. learn to be happy and healthy at the weight you are x

Very bad idea.

You need to eat 6 small meals a day as little fat as possible, high protein.

Double the amount of exercise you do and VARY it - swimming, running, cycling.

Also essential to do High intensity training i.e sprinting for a minute as fast as you can then resting. Repeat for 8-10 sets.

Do this once a week. Make sure you do a different form of cardio EVERY day.

But you MUST eat healthy.

This is ridiculous. First of all, you're not overweight. 126 pounds for 5'6" is perfectly normal.

Second, it probably won't work. Either you won't be able to stick to it (especially after you get so sick from it that you can't hide it), or your body will go into starvation mode, meaning you'll feel lethargic and too tired to do much of anything as your body tries its best to conserve calories.

Anything under 1200 calories a day can do that.

Not only is that sort of diet a slow suicide where on earth do you get the idea that you need to lose weight? Your weight is fine perhaps you should try and get some help on working on your body image.
