I always find it funny though when someone who thinks they can sing goes on 'Idol'. Even worse are the friends and family that say "Oh Cindy you have such a lovely voice, why don't you try out for 'Idol'? Urgh!

i have been told that i have a beautiful singing voice and love to sing songs with my daughter. but i don't know if i have any real talent

I can sing better in Spanish then English (-:
Some how I end up with a high pitch voice voice that can break your ear drums.

everybody can sing. some just do it better than others. i've been cast in musicals which require me to do solos, so i guess i sing alright

Yes.
Even won an award for it in high school.
Still, I wouldn't say that I'm that great, although I sounds pretty good in a chorus.
