50% of beer drinkers in America drink lager, meaning Budweiser, Coors, MGD, Miller High Life, Busckh, Natty Ice, or Henry Weinhards, all beers that can be bought cheap if you go for cans. Depending on the amount of people (normal "beer" drinkers can have 2-3 cans, 5-6 if they are trying to get a good buzz and visit the restroom often, 8-10 if they are pathetic) so purchase that accordingly. I would recommend purchasing a 12 pack of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or the Celebration Ale for true beer lovers, or even Redhook ESB, New Belgium Fat Tire, or Newcastle, because about 30% of the population can't stand crappy beer and we need to drink something that doesn't taste like stale corn bread.

If you are having a party and want to bring the most "crowd pleasing" style, then I would stick with a lager. basicallt this means Bud, budlight, Corona, heineken. what ever is available. I wouldn't go over board though. Unless all your friends are mooches, most people will bring a 6pack of what ever it is they drink. Concentrate on the "munchies" so that everyone ha s a good time and doesn't get wasted. DWI's are a real thing and a s a good host you are responsible for everyones safety. Good luck and have fun!

I never used to like the taste of beer, but it has grown on me.
I love Sam Adams Cherry Wheat.
If you want to go the extra mile to impress your guests with something different, check out a large beverage/beer store. Pick out a few nice 12-pack varieties. These large beverage stores have beer from around the world. You'll be sure to please all the pint drinkers at your party.

Sam Adams, Sam Adams Light, Sam Adam Octoberfest (seasonal and out right now), Sam Adams Cherry Wheat (if you can still find it this late in the season). Also like Red Stripe and Yeungling if you can get it in MI. My favorite is Abita Amber, but its a Louisiana beer.

There's no way to know what everyone will like, try buying a couple different brands. Some ales, some lagers. Some light, some not light. Have a fun party!

Hitochino Nest White Ale. 10 out of 10. It is rare to find and expensive, but it is worth every sip!

I'm not a big fan of beer, but when I do drink it, I go with Dos Equis. It tastes good with lime...!!
It's in a green bottle with 2 red X's on it.
