Have you considered the fatal-flaw of your religion, whereby believing yourself to be more worthy, of God's love and favours, than the rest of human-kind who do not participate in that religion, actually makes you a participant in being the antithesis of "God" and therefore are responsible for creating "hell" on earth? Any religion that purports that being a believer makes you superior among all people, is merely a fabrication created by a distorted human failure to comprehend the Oneness that exists within us all. Being the love, has the real power to effect the shift that connects us to God. Otherwise, you are in delusion and therefore in complete isolation from being connected to the essential nature of God....your birthright.

very well put, I've considered and recognize the "fatal flaws" in my beliefs, but I also recognize there is no "perfect" ideology and am content to accept these facts...

According to the new testament, no one is more worthy than somebody else. God did not come to 'call the righteous, but the sinners to repentance'.

There are plenty of examples where Jesus befriended those who others considered less worthy, in order to show his followers that ALL are worthy (Zacheus, the woman at the well, the good samaritan, Mary Magdelene, the woman who touched his garments, etc.).

I think the fatal flaw here is people making assumptions without doing the requisite research.

You are absolutely correct except for one minor point.

My religion does not teach me that I am more worthy of God's love and favors that the rest of human kind.

I am not worthy of what God did for me at all. Not even one little tiny bit. Nobody is worthy of God's love according to what I have been taught. The only difference between some of us and others of us is that I and others have accepted God's gift of Jesus while others have not, but we are all equally and totally unworthy. We are all sinners and deserve God's wrath and damnation in hell.

I was rather under the impression that Christianity at least teaches people to view others as superior to them, to be humble, lowly, etc. How many people actually do that is another matter, but I know at least I was raised not to think of myself as better than other people for any reason, and certainly not because I knew God's laws and they didn't. As the bible says, Jesus died for all of us while we were yet sinners.

There is nothing superior about a christian. We simply have faith in the works of our Lord on the Cross to pay the debt we owed. If any man boasts in his accomplishments he is a fool.

I don't think that by believing I am superior to others. God has forgiven everyone's sins, some just haven't realized it yet.

I believe myself to be the worst of sinners but saved by the grace that is available to you, too.
